Q: What brew methods do you recommend?
A: It all depends on the grind type you go for. If its espresso, then an espresso machine is the sure fire way to go, but don’t discount the AeroPress! If you’re ordering cafetiere ground, then that almost answers itself, although alternatively we do love the added flair of a big pour over jug! Beans can be ground into anything you want with the right grinder (we’d recommend a burr grinder for most consistent grind size). Getting beans and grinding yourself just before you make your drink is the best way to get the freshest tasting coffee and our personal preference overall. But it all works!
Q: How should I store my coffee?
A: Our coffee is best when stored in a cool, dry and preferably dark place. Storing it in the fridge of freezer can add moisture to the coffee which causes problems. We also recommend keeping either sealed in the bag between usage or transferred into an airtight container, with the label cut out and slid inside so you still get the beauty of Aber (and know which coffee is which!)
Q: When will my coffee be roasted ?
A: You coffee will be roasted in the week proceeding delivery, which allows it to rest after roasting. This means it’ll arrive just as its at its freshest and most drinkable.
Q: What are your delivery times ?
A: Delivery times are expected to be 4-7 days after order. Some companies offer next day delivery, this usually means they’re roasting on an extremely large scale or storing coffee for long periods after roasting in order to fulfil that promise. By roasting in small batches, once a week before orders are shipped, we can ensure the coffee is at its freshest whilst still satisfying your coffee needs in good time.
Q: Do you offer a pick up service ?
A: We currently don’t offer a pickup service due to not having a storefront location. Any local orders will likely be hand delivered to you as soon as possible, saving you the effort of leaving the house!
Q: How do I work with you?
A: If you’re either looking to work with us as a stockist or wholesaler, we’ve dedicated pages on how to work with us. If you’re a budding photographer, drop us a message and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do, Matt began his coffee journey in much the same way and knows the ins and outs. Anything else, drop us a line on the contact us page and we’ll be sure to get back to you ASAP.
