Created in September of 2021, we’re still considered the new kid on the block. What started out as a hobby has already grown further than we anticipated. We started because we wanted to combine 2 things we hold close to our hearts; The Welsh countryside of Aberystwyth and Coffee. We know that we’re not going to be a global brand but who knows, maybe one day we’ll get an Aberystwyth Coffee cup on the big screen.

It all began with a modest idea, why not get some great coffee and add photos of somewhere we love. This could work for lots of places, but Aberystwyth is special (we’ll fight with you if you say otherwise). We started as a small, fun idea that would maybe cover Matt’s coffee habit and buy him a new coffee machine (thankyou everyone for that), but we quickly captured the imagination and interest of many more people than expected. With our coffee already finding its way to Australia and America, we have begun our mission to grow Aber Coffee and make sure everyone who loves Aberystwyth & good Coffee, can find us.

Style and substance go hand in hand, you can’t truly have a good product without both. We want to make the best tasting coffee you can get and deliver it straight to your door with beautiful pictures of a place that lives in so many peoples hearts. The sight of Aberystwyth, the smell of freshly roasted coffee, the sound and anticipation of your brew being made, the warm touch of a hot mug and the taste of some expertly roasted coffee. What better way to start your day?

Our coffee beans are sourced from all over the world but there’s one key element that we pride ourselves on – we only buy Fair Trade coffee. This means the farmers growing the beans are paid a fair price for their product and hard work. We use Kraft paper for our packaging which is both recyclable and compostable. We wouldn’t recommend burying the bags though as the foil used inside to keep the coffee fresh is only recyclable and not compostable – sorry about that!
